Lightspeed is committed to being a good steward of our environment. As such, our advertising vehicles have the ability to run on biodiesel to reduce our carbon footprint. Biodiesel is a renewable fuel source that dramatically reduces carbon emissions. Lightspeed’s LED technology also allows us to forgo the use of traditional advertising materials that are damaging to the environment.

Biodiesel

Biodiesel refers to a non-petroleum-based diesel fuel consisting of long-chain alkyl (methyl, propyl or ethyl) esters. Biodiesel is typically made by chemically-reacting lipids (e.g., vegetable oil, animal fat (tallow)) and alcohol. It can be used (alone, or blended with conventional petrodiesel) in unmodified diesel-engine vehicles.
